Do we need training?

Training is available, but probably not necessary. PINPOINT is very easy to use.

Are students required to take their test in one sitting?

No, they can start and stop as often as needed. The test will pick up where the student left off in his/her last session.

Different companies mean different things when they use the term "indicator." What is PINPOINT's definition of an indicator?

We define an indicator as a skill in its most granular form. Our indicators are subsets of benchmarks published by the Ohio Department of Education.

How much does PINPOINT cost?

Is technical support available?

Technical support is included in your license fee, and is unlimited, including on-site support if needed.

What grades and subjects are available?

Grades 3-8 and Grade 10 are available for Math and Reading. Grades 5, 8 and 10 for Science, and Grade 10 for Social Studies.

How long does a test typically take?

Expect students to spend a total of 60 to 90 minutes (per subject) completing their assessments.

Where did the questions/test items come from?

Our team of certified teachers wrote the material. Each writer teaches the subject and grade level for which they wrote. We used sample tests and previously released materials as a rough guide.

How do we get the reports?

You simply request them from PINPOINT. They will arrive (as PDF files) via email within 24 hours. You can also instantly access reports through your school's PINPOINT Control Panel.
